Greetings ILC:

The state of our neighborhood is great.  Lots continue to sell and new homes are being built.  We are growing.  You may see new faces in the neighborhood so take any opportunity to introduce yourselves and make them feel welcome.

Our bi-monthly Wednesday night gatherings in the park have had good attendance and we invite those of you who have not participated to come on down to the park and enjoy the great food and fellowship.

During the previous month, both Rainbow and Indian Lake have been restocked with several different species of fish.  There have also been bear and deer sightings in our neighborhood, so please remember to bring in bird feeders at night and please watch your speed and be on the lookout for deer.

Concerning the repair of Indian Lake Dam, the plans have been submitted to the state regulatory agency for approval.  Once approval is obtained, the mudslide will be addressed first.  We would like to complete that repair either late this year or early next year.  We are looking at a time line of approximately two years before completion of the repairs to the spillway on the dam.

Our Annual Meeting is September 9, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake Toxaway Firehouse.

This is an important meeting as we will be electing our board members.  This will also give you an opportunity to address any concerns or thoughts you may have about our neighborhood.

On a personal note, this will be my last newsletter as President of ILC.  I have enjoyed my short tenure and hope to serve the community in other ways.
