Indian Lake Club, Inc.

Indian Lake Estates

I hope this newsletter finds you all well.  The State of North Carolina has started phase one  of Reopening on May 8th at 5pm.  This will be a gradual process taking several weeks before all three phases are completed, and we return to what will be our new normal.  Anyone returning from outside our community is urged to self-quarantine for 14 days.  Our web site https://indianlakeclubinc.com has some great resources and information.  It is constantly being updated by Everett Bedenbaugh as things are changing on a day to day basis.

Reminder

For those of you with multiple lots your 2nd payment is due on June 1st.

Weather

Our weather seems to have returned to its normal pattern for now.  Due to all the rain we had earlier this year we are still averaging 10 inches a month.  We had a major storm about a month ago which brought down five trees in the community.  Four of these trees fell across our roads so do be careful when driving in a storm.  Please check your property for issues caused by the amount of rain we have had.

Good Neighbors

Along with watching out for each other’s homes, let’s also watch out for each other by checking our speed in the community as there have been several close calls over the past few months.

Please respect the covenants and regulations by running any major project by our Architectural Control Committee, chaired by Rich Firebaugh.

Dogs and other animals

We have had several reports of loose or stray dogs roaming the community.  If you encounter any dogs, or other animals, please contact Transylvania County Animal Services, (828) 883-3713 (a picture would help them identify the critter).  If you have a dog or dogs please remember ILE and Transylvania County have leash laws, do not let your dog run loose.  The bears are up and hungry please be careful with your bird feeders and do not leave any food items out on your porch or deck.

Dam Repairs

We are still working with the State and will keep you informed of any real progress.

Waterfront Wednesdays & Memorial Day

At this time, the park and dock areas are still closed.  We will let you know when the park opens again and repairs to the dock are completed.  We are not planning on having a Memorial Day gathering and will let everyone know if there will be a Fourth of July party.

Real Estate

Currently, we have one home for sale in the community;

Ray & Janet Earl’s house at 58 Rainbows End

Please stay safe and healthy!  We will make it through this.
