Fall is ending and we had our first dusting of snow, which thankfully, did not last long. Most of the
leaves are down and though we had a few temperature dips, the weather is still pleasant.

Please welcome the following new members to our neighborhood:
Larry and Julietta Saichek , who bought the Tisdale home on Hiawassee
And
Martin and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, who bought the Bayster home, also on Hiawassee
We look forward to getting to know you!!!

Canoe rental storage: there are still a few canoe/kayak spots available below the park. Please contact
Colin Castner for rental. There is a $25 charge per year. Colin can be reached at

Here’s the scoop on the poop!
I’ve been approached by members regarding the amount of dog poop left on the sides of the road as
well as dogs running loose and aggressive dogs. First of all, the poop: please either pick up after your
pet and bring the waste home or flick it far enough into the woods to keep our roadsides clean and
inviting. I understand no one pick up bear/fox/coyote debris, but be a responsible pet owner and clean
up after your pet. Regarding dogs running loose: not all are dog lovers and some are understandably
afraid of them, especially big dogs. I have had reports of big dogs jumping on people and jumping into
golf carts. It has also been reported that a big brown dog and a smaller dog are running the
neighborhood. These dogs may not belong to members of our community. Call Animal Control of
Transylvania County at 828-883-3713 and try to take a picture of the dog to give to animal control
officer. Dogs must be controlled and under your command at all times. Aggressive dogs are highly
discouraged and can lead to legal issues. The care and rights of our members is top priority and no one
should be afraid to walk because your pet is aggressive or loose.

Holiday Christmas party: I would like to host a Christmas Party on Saturday, December 6th, starting at

for all to enjoy. Helping hands are greatly appreciated.

Finally, your Board of Directors wishes you Happy Thanksgiving, a very merry holiday season and health,
happiness and good will through 2026
