Indian Lake Club, Inc.  Indian Lake Estates

Reminder

For those of you with multiple lots, your second payment is due on June 1st.

Weather

Our weather seems to have returned to its normal pattern for now.  We have had a lot of rain earlier this year and we are still averaging 10 inches a month.  We have had some major tree removal work done because of  the wet ground and the roots no longer able to support the trees.  Please check your property for issues caused by the amount of rain.

Good Neighbors

Along with watching out for each other’s homes, let’s also watch out for each other by checking your speed on our roads. There have been several close calls over the past few months.

Please respect the covenants and regulations by running any major project by our Architectural Control Committee, chaired by Brian Gorman.

Renters

If you are renting out your home, please

  • Notify your renters that the canoes and kayaks at the waterfront park are privately owned by homeowners in the community
  • If you own a kayak or canoe that goes with your rental, please request your renter return the watercraft to the canoe rack and refrain from leaving any trash in the dock area.
  • Also PLEASE … PLEASE request that your renters observe the speed limits in the community.

Dogs and Goats

We have had several reports of loose or stray dogs and goats roaming the community.  If you encounter any aggressive dogs, or other animals, please contact Transylvania County Animal Services, (828) 883-3713.  If you have a dog or dogs please remember ILE and Transylvania County have leash laws, do not let your dogs run loose.

Dam Repairs

We are in process of obtaining the last study the State requires on the dam.  Once this is complete we hope to finally get the answers and directions from the State to start corrective action.

Waterfront Wednesdays

The Wednesday gatherings started May 15th and we had a great turnout of 14 people.  Come on down and meet your neighbors, make new friends and catch up on the community news.

Real Estate

Currently, we have two homes for sale in the community.

The Pipkins house at 87 Cherokee Circle

The Gorman house at 149 Hiwassee Road
